Getting some exercise

Following on fro my last post, I’d to talk a bit about the exercise I have been doing. I didn’t mean to sound so mysterious. I planned to write a whole blog post about it but I decided against it because what I have been doing isn’t new or trendy. I’ve been doing mostly Zumba. I’ve done Zumba over the years since 2009 but I started against in August 2014 which is when I really fell in love with it. I think the difference came with having the right instructors and the fact that the Zumba music has improved so much since it started in 2009. When I did it previously I was skeptical on how much of a workout it actually is. But now with the right instructors it is a great workout which leaves me both invigorated and sweaty! It really is addictive and a good addiction at that. If you’re considering trying Zumba again or starting it then I encourage you to go ahead. I have been doing classes with three amazing instructors around Cape Town. Please email me if you would like to know more.

About the outfit…
This is another simple outfit I wore to work on a cooler day. I am crazy about this shirt which I think makes a rather plain outfit pop a bit.

Great Spirits

Hello lovelies! I must say that I have been in good spirits lately, actually great spirits :) I think it is partially due to exercising regularly. Yes me, I am exercising regularly! I have never been the athletic type. I have the shortest legs in the world and my hand-eye coordination was very lacking during my school years so I never did any sports. I have had some traumatic school netball memories but that is a story for another day. So, how does an athletically challenged person like me get to exercise almost everyday? It’s simple really. Motivate yourself and find exercise you enjoy doing. I am LOVING my exercise of choice. So much so that I am thinking of writing a blog post about it. If you love it, blog it right? How do you keep active? I would love to hear from you.

About the outfit…
So this is another work outfit. Lately work is the only place I looks decent for. Sometimes I dress up so much for work that people ask me what the occasion is. Come on, we don’t need an occasion to look and feel good. This Mr Price is one of my favourites. The loose fits make is super comfy to wear and the print is striking. I like it so much I might just wear it tomorrow.

Flamingos and Fire

I had the strangest day! I got to work and about 3 minutes later the fire alarm went off and it was not a drill. Yep, the roof of our building was on fire! Luckily the fire is out now and I don’t think the damage is very bad. That is life, the one moment you are ready to get into a day’s work and the next you are on a field looking at smoke coming out of your office building. Expect the unexpected? :) I suppose we never know what is around the corner.

On another note, I am happy to be blogging regularly now. I hope to keep it up. Thanks for sticking with me :) Ok, how many smiley faces can one have in one blog post?

About the outfit…
This shirt is another one of those items I have had for a while. Can you say fashion hoarder? Rueben bought it for me and I was hoping to wear it to one of our afternoon dates but then I forgot. lol. I adore novelty prints so this flamingo print shirt is right up my alley. I think I will make a concerted effort to try and wear what I own from now on. Dare I say, I will go on a shopping ban? Um, I’ll think about it.

Limited Edition

Hi everyone! How is your week going? Tomorrow is hump day already! I must admit that I am completely baffled at how fast time flies. This has been on my mind all year. I feel like the clock is ticking and it is of utmost importance to spend my time wisely. I am still trying to figure out exactly how to do that :) One simple start I am taking is to minimize “messing around”. By this I mean I am trying to keep Sunday TV series marathons to a minimum and opt to go outside and do something active rather. Summer is leaving us after all. I am very sad about that but I will leave that chat for another day.

About the outfit…
I don’t own many statement t-shirts but I do love this one from Mr Price. For some reason I love wearing this particular t-shirt on a Friday. It is definitely more relaxed than the dresses and blouses I usually wear to work and in some strange way it helps me to start to relax and prepare for the weekend. Clothing can have quite an effect on my state of mind and I absolutely love it.
