I attended the launch of Stuttafords Emporium in Cavendish Square on Tuesday night. I was seriously impressed. The new Stuttafords store is stunning! Each brand has it’s own little section which makes it easy to navigate. I am all about easy navigation in stores! The merchandise is varied and I like the fact that they stock really trendy pieces but lots of classics as well. I will definitely be back when I want to buy some investment pieces.
The event was nicely pulled off. There was entertainment and snacks including the delicious chocolate pops pictured below. There was a mini fashion show that some celebs participated in (check Tanya Nefdt’s dress :)) There were lots of very stylish attendees and I took some pics of them of course.
Along with the new Stuttafords store there is also a new Gap store, the very first Banana Republic store in South Africa, Oaktree and French Connection. The Gap store is huge and I loved all the colourful merchandise. I will have to go back to peruse some more. The Banana Republic store is just opposite the Gap store and has some very wearable classic clothing. I love their pumps. I didn’t go into the Oaktree store and I super excited to visit French Connection since they were not yet open.

These babies were my Christmas present to myself. I drooled over them for a few weeks since seeing them on the Zando website. I hesitated to buy them for practical reasons like “they are too high” and “I already own a pair of black wedges”. I got an email saying everything on the Zando website was 20% off for one night and took it as a sign that I deserved them as a Christmas present to myself! Ah, the joys of online shopping.
It was the first time I bought from Zando and the service was pretty good. I received my shoes in three days. I suspect that delivery would have gone faster if it weren’t for the time of the year.
It’s back to work for me tomorrow. If you’re going back to work as well then good luck!

My friend Wendy and I recently attended the Traffic Clothing Summer Fashion Show. It was held right in the center of Canal Walk and I really enjoyed it. The fashion show showcased different themes which were tropical and neon colours, denim, swimwear and black and white. The clothing was sexy, trendy and by the end of the night both Wendy and I were craving a Traffic jacket!
Here are my favourite looks from the fashion show.
