Rueben and I spotted this beautiful beach when we drove on Chapman’s Peak a couple of years ago. We never got around to visiting it and today we finally did. It was serene! I definitely want to go back and maybe take my twin nieces who have just started to walk run. The white sands seem to go on forever. I think they will go crazy just running around.

The name of the beach is Noordhoek beach in case you want to visit. Have a great week and enjoy pay day!

It was hot hot hot in Cape Town this weekend. Hey, I’m not moaning. It would be like moaning about being too thin or too rich. LOL! I choose to embrace the Summer even if I have to toss and turn on some nights. One of the best things about Summer is that you can wear playsuits. When life gives you lemons…

Hi guys! It’s been way too long since I last blog. I was on holiday enjoying the Cape Town Summer. I think this was the best festive season for me in years. It wasn’t too hectic. I had lots of fun with friends and family. I think my fave days besides Christmas was when I went to the beach with the family and hiking with friends. Great way to end off a year!
2011 was a great year for me. It’s the year that I started staying on my own. Which also means that it’s the year that I had to learn to kill spiders on my own and learn to “cook” something edible! It’s also the year that I got a new job that I really enjoy. As far as this bloggie is concerned I think I blogged much less in 2011 but hopefully that will be changing in 2012. I have some ideas that I hope to see materialize.
I thought I’d say goodbye to 2011 by doing an outfit recap. Hope you all have a awesome 2012!

Last week World of Birds and this week Butterfly World. I am trying to make it my mission to visit all these little places around Cape Town that I’ve never been to. I have a few more places in mind. I drove past Butterfly World a few years back and I keep meaning to visit and today I finally did. It was lovely to see so many butterflies in one place.

Rueben and I went to World Of Birds in Hout Bay on Sunday. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was much more than I expected because
- It’s huge (don’t wear heels)
- In most places the birds are free to fly right past you.
It was so freaky for me to walk underneath a perch that had an owl sitting on it! I had visions of owls attacking my face. lol. But no injuries were incurred besides my feet because of poor choice of footwear. Granted, I didn’t know that we were going to the World of Birds when I got dressed. All in all, it was quite an experience. There are many more animals to see like monkeys, foxes, badgers, jackals and even alpacas! At the risk of sounding extremely corny, it was an absolute honour to see all these weird and wonderful creatures.

I’ll leave you with my favourite birdy pics of the day and one spider pic.
