Four things

I love reading blogs for many reasons. One of them is that I get such good suggestions from most of the blogs I read. It’s almost like a good friend telling you about something cool they found. Here are four tips/suggestions I found on some of my favourite local blogs:

4 things

*Sources: 1, 2, 3, 4
  1. The Stephanie Plum Series
I was looking for something light-hearted, fun and easy to read so I took Bobby’s advice and I am so glad I did! Every night before I sleep I read a few pages and enjoy a few giggles because of these books. Read her blog post here for a summary of the series.

  2. Vanilla Chai Tea
I am a huge fan of tea and I am always looking for new teas to try. Nadia suggested it, so I bought it and I love it! Colleagues are always asking me where I bought that delicious smelling tea.

  3. Mr Min has another use
I read on Lauren’s blog that Mr Min is awesome for removing the gunk that stickers leave on a surface. I tried it for the first time when I was at a friend’s place and we were both amazed! It takes all the gunk away instantly! Thanks Lauren.

  4. Kajal
I am no pro when it comes to make-up so I took Aisha’s advice and tried Kajal. It works wonderfully and everytime I lose it I can just go to the supermarket around the corner because they stock it for R5!

Thank you lovely bloggers for sharing this with us!

Blog Love

I’m quite smitten with Krystal Bick’s outfits especially after she got her hair cut into this gorgeous style. I cut my hair a few weeks ago and since I grew it very long, it wasn’t an easy thing to do! Krystal’s blog gave me some inspiration because I saw how good she looks with both long and short hair. Anyhoo, her blog makes me want to dress a bit more chic. Maybe I’ll try it sometime.

Face Hunter Book Signing

So the Face Hunter came to Cape Town and everybody went a bit bonkers. It was Face Hunter this and Face Hunter that everywhere. I must admit that to me it was exciting. I’ve admired his blog and been a faithful follower since the first time I saw it. Rueben and I went to his book signing held at Studio One in Bree Street. We listened to his talk and I got to meet him when I got my book signed. It was interesting to hear what he had to say. I read most of what he had to say either in his book or in articles, but there were some new things. When asked what’s next in the blogging world he said that he thinks there will be networks of bloggers like the networks they have on TV. I asked him what his favourite blog is and he fumbled a little. He doesn’t read much blogs, but answered his friend’s blog “Showmanship” because it includes fashion and art. I’ll have to Google it.

It was a fun night all in all. I got to see some of my blogger friends including Michelle, Jasna, Aisha and Aqeelah. I also liked seeing how all the stylish people were dressed.
