Nice and New

I’ve slowly been building up my accessories collection which used to consist mostly of earrings. I’ve been buying more necklaces lately and these are 3 new additions. I bought the top one from an Etsy shop called Amazing Collection 4 U. I like it because of the peacock (some of you may know why) and because it opens up into a watch. I have the worst luck with watches to I’m hoping this is a better alternative. The middle one is from Mr Price. It’s reversible, so it’s like having two different necklaces. I won the bottom one on Being Brazen and it’s made by South African jewellery designer Natasha Wood.

I trust everyone had a great weekend. My first week back at work was mellow and I hope it continues that way. For those of you going back to work tomorrow I hope it goes well.

New Genevieve Motley Designs

I could not help but blog about these new brooches, necklaces and rings by Genevieve Motley. I am in love with them! I already own a brooch and earrings which I posted about here, but I’m going to have to order a few of these designs right now! If you didn’t know, Genevieve is a jewellery designer from Durban who makes the most beautiful pieces out of wood and perspex. How cute are those owls?

Another day, another market

The sun was out this weekend and Cape Town was radiant. I had an amazing day on Saturday which started off at the You & Me & Everyone We Know Market at the Labia theatre in Town. This is a lovely little market where you can buy lots of vintage clothing at good prices. It’s quite a small market but filled with little gems. I especially loved Fable Fairy‘s jewellery. I acutally recognised the name from a blog that I discovered last week. So, I got to meet another blogger!

I love markets and love taking pics of the goods for sale. I hope you enjoyed these. I have a few more markets that I haven’t yet attended and will definitely post about them when I do visit. Saturday turned out to be quite eventful so I decided to split it into two blog posts. Stay tuned for part 2 which includes an outfit post.

The Old Biscuit Mill

I trust that you had a great weekend? Mine was all about relaxing and spending time with friends. On Saturday morning I spent some time with a blogger friend, Lauren from Glossary! She came all the way from Durban to visit our beautiful city. She is a very sweet and warm person and it was so lovely to meet her. I am enjoying blogging more and more as I would never have met Lauren if it weren’t for this blog. We met at The Old Biscuit Mill in Salt River. Those who have been there already know that going to the Biscuit Mill is a brilliant way to spend a Saturday morning. For those who haven’t been yet, I hope these pics speak for themselves!

Great food, fashion and decor is what you can expect when visiting the Biscuit Mill. As you can see I did some shopping. Hopefully I’ll show you what I bought soon! That’s Lauren with me in the last pic. Isn’t she the cutest?
