I am actively looking for storage ideas and ways to organise my things especially my jewellery. We were walking down the toolbox section of a plastics shop when Rueben suggested that one of these little toolboxes would be great to store my jewellery. I think it was a genius idea! It’s compact, I can carry it around if I want to and the jewellery won’t get tangled because they are in different compartments.

It was Michelle from Cinder & Skylark who opened my eyes to all the beautiful art right in our streets. It just shows that you can pass a place a million times and not really look at it. These pics were taken at different locations in Cape Town that we passed by.

I love brooches and I’ve started to build up quite a collection. A brooch adds such a lovely little detail to an outfit. It can definitely spice up a blazer, cardigan or dress. These are three new brooches that I own. The first one is made of leather and was bought at Heather’s Leathers. The second one is vintage bought at the Blue Bird Garage Market and the third was a very sweet gift from my aunt.

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I sure did! On Sunday Rueben and I popped into the Milnerton flea market to look for some vintage furniture. I didn’t find what I was looking for but I snapped some pics of the vintage treasures that were for sale. I always joke that I prefer taking pics of vintage goodies over buying them. While I do love old things, I am trying very hard to only buy things that are functional. Good luck to me with that!
