Rueben and I went to the Design Indaba Expo at the Cape Town Convention Centre yesterday. I definitely enjoyed it. It was inspiration galore under one roof. I’ve seen so many South African brands online, but never got around to going to the shops where their goods are sold. The Indaba was a brilliant way of having all these brands under one roof. I’d definitely recommend it. I am just happy I didn’t spend my whole month’s salary!
Rueben took some snaps of my favourite stands and I thought I’d show them to you in two posts since there are so many pics! All of these shops sell online if not by online shop then via email.

I often wondered when popular street style photographer Ivan Rodic of Face Hunter would come to Africa and it’s finally happening. He will be in Cape Town from 14-21 March 2011. I am very eager to see Capetonians on his blog and I am glad that the world will be able to see some Cape Town style! According to his blog, there will be a book signing on 17 March and I hope to get my book signed. So, the question is Will You Get Face Hunted?

In my previous post I showed you the outfit I wore on Saturday evening and I said I would show you the pics I took. Here they are! My friends, Wendy and Lenoray, joined me at the Trigger Models Hysteria Party at St Yves. St Yves is quite a lush venue overlooking Camps Bay’s beautiful beach. There were margaritas galore which were served by a lady that wore a table as a dress. The table dress reminded me of one of Lady Gaga’s outfits. There were also performers dancing in stilts which deeply fascinated me. I can barely manage to dance in heels! The highlights of the night for me was of chatting and dancing the night away as well taking pics of some very stylish people. It is often said that South Africans are very conservative dressers but I think this is changing. Have a look at the guy wearing the necklace, that’s definitely not conservative!

Hi guys, these pics were taken by my little bro before I went out on Saturday evening. Half of this outfit was bought in China Town in Sable Square. I went there two weeks ago with my bride-to-be best friend searching for wedding supplies. We found wedding supplies and lots of cute clothes, which was a great bonus. I bought this dress for a mere R120, bargain! I don’t expect it to stand the test of time, but that’s okay. I also got the rings at R20 each. I say it’s definitely worth the visit!

Watch this space for pics I took on Saturday evening/night including some more amazing Cape Town style. Have a great week!
