Beautiful Vintage dress, come unto me

I’ve been ogling so many vintage dresses on Etsy. I definitely want a 50s full skirted dress, but I have no idea where I’d wear it to. I only know that I would feel very special and lady-like in a dress that comes from that era. The possibility of who wore the dress and what happened when she wore it is such a romantic concept. Wearing vintage is definitely a whole other experience than wearing something new.

    Oh I know! I look at all the beautiful vintage dresses… but I really can’t imagine wearing those fifties ones anywhere. I’m after 60s vintage dresses instead for that reason; they’re a bit more contemporary!

    Wish we could go back to the 50s! Those nipped waists, full skirted styles are so flattering! Have you checked out how David West has revamped that style? Gorgeous. :)

    Now, seeing as how you’re a real fashionista – what do you think: I’m thinking cute plain baby-doll summer dresses to show off cleavage and hide the post-Christmas bulge. Am I on track or way off?

    i adorrrrrrrrrrrrre the light brown one and blue with criscross lines! i def aggree about the romanticism in these piece, my grandma just gave me some of her old dresses and i was actually inlove the the handiwork and silhouette. though i did shorten it a little haha

    I’ve missed your last two posts! I don’t know how that happened. I ADORE 50s dresses. I don’t like strappy dressed, or dresses that are too short. 50s dresses are perfect.
