Bye bye 2010, Hello 2011

So it is the last day of the year and how can I not reflect and recap? I think the main theme of 2010 for me was discovery. That is the discovery of new things and the rediscovery of things I love. I hope to continue with this theme for 2011. I hope you end this year off with a bang and start the new year with happiness and positivity. Thanks for taking the time to read, comment and support my little blog. You are a big part of what made my year very special.

So, that’s the reflecting and now for the recapping. Since I am such a shoe lover, I thought I’d round up some of my favourite shoes that I wore this year. I definitely plan on expanding my shoe collection next year and I hope you do too!

Thrift Cape Town

Having clothing that comes from different sources makes your wardrobe diverse and interesting. This is why I am always on the lookout for a new place to shop. I was very excited to hear that Aqeelah from Fashion Breed and her friend Gabbi started selling affordable vintage and leather goods. You can see from the pictures below that the goods are beautifully styled and photographed which is an extra bonus because you can get some inspiration on how to wear what you buy. To view the merchandise you need to ask Thrift Cape Town to be your friend on Facebook. All details are available on that profile on Facebook. Happy shopping ladies!

Christmas Crafts

I snapped some pictures of the Christmas inspired crafts at the Spier Craft Market. I liked this little market where the crafts are made mostly by previously disadvantaged communities in South Africa. I bought a mosaic heart. Aren’t they gorgeous? I am always amazed at the creativity and hard work that goes into making crafts available at markets such as these.
