This is the outfit I wore a couple of days ago. This houndstooth dress is close to my heart because my grandma gave it to me when I was 12. It’s some kind of miracle that it still fits me. My grandma must have bought it so I can get some wear out of it! Amazingly, I kept it all this time and it’s one of my favourites to this day.

I am loving and wearing much more brown than I ever have before. I think it all started with the love of the bag in these pictures and the acceptance that it is not really a sin to wear brown with black. I’m also quite smitten with these brown brogues I got at Mr Price last week.

We were lucky to have another sunny Sunday in Cape Town. It was even warmer than last week. Naturally, I had to take advantage of the sun by going for a drive and wearing a pretty dress and sandals. One thing I love about living in Cape Town is that you can take a drive in any direction and be surrounded by pretty sights.

I just love this dress I bought at the Vertigo sale. I thought I’d have to wait for Spring or Summer to wear it. Let’s hope that next Sunday will be as sunny.

If you’ve read the About section then you’ll know that I’m passionate about technology. More specifically, I am passionate about technology that makes your life easier or improves it any way. One piece of technology that did this for me was BlogLovin.

I read lots and lots and blogs and I absolutely love doing so. I used to bookmark my favourites and then check each and every blog on a daily basis. We all know that bloggers update their blogs at different times with different frequencies. So, from time to time I’d be checking blogs that were not updated or I’d checked just before a blog was updated and then on the next day I’d read a post that was a day old.

I realised that I had to abandon my bookmarking ways and I decided to try Bloglovin out. Now I love it to bits!

I have all my favourite blogs saved and when I log in I get to see how many new posts there are. I love knowing how many new posts I have to read.

So, I’m a shoe person. I’ve loved shoes for as long as I can remember. I even love looking at pictures of shoes. So, I decided to take a few of my new boots.

They are a pair of Aldo combat lace-up boots brought over from USA. I have been searching high and low for combat lace-ups in Cape Town shops and could only find them for men. When I heard that my friend was visiting for the World Cup I decided to take advantage and got him to bring these over.

I was so obssessed with combact lace-ups that I made this Polyvore set back in February:

I’m glad I finally have a pair and please forgive me if I wear them with all of my outfits. For those in South Africa looking for lace-ups, I have seen worker style lace-up boots at Foschini and Mr Price. We’ll be needing lots of pairs of boots to keep warm this Winter.

I’ve never really been into soccer, but the world cup is being hosted in my country and it is impossible to get swept into the excitement of it all. I was lucky enough to go and see the Portugual vs Korea DPR game yesterday. All I can say is that was an amazing experience. Being one of 60 000 people in a stadium where a worldwide event is being televised to millions is really something special.

The atmosphere in the stadium was awesome. Everybody looked so happy blowing their vuvuzelas, taking many pictures and screaming for Christiano Ronaldo. The score ended up being 7 Portugual – Korea DPR 0. I’m really glad I got to see that! It’s not everyday that 7 goals are scored by one team in one game.

I brought my point-and-shoot camera along so we could snap some quick pics.

I’m always looking around for awesome fashion and I spotted this woman wearing these killer boots on the way back from the stadium. Wow! I admire for wearing those to a world cup match. There’s lots of walking involved. Fierce!
